Maritime infrastructure and growth: econometric measurement using panel data from Tunisia

Abstract This study applied a Cobb–Douglas production function in an attempt to assess the effect of increased maritime sector investment on economic growth. It did this for Tunisian economy based panel data 1985–2020 period, thus making it possible confirm importance spillover effects resulting from developing infrastructure. Increases added value market services and non-manufacturing industries proves benefits investments but also harm caused by structuring marine The results reveal, however, that positive induced are not guaranteed, because development infrastructure can have opposite effect, such as shrinking size manufacturing relation services, which is striking example negative was suffered economy.
